Meet Carol
Carol Stevens is a 64-year-old retired teacher from Solihull who came to BlueZone Fitness feeling frustrated with her mobility, low in confidence, and worried about damaging her hip after 17 surgeries — including a full reconstruction.
The Challenge
Before working with us, Carol struggled with everyday movement.
She walked with difficulty, felt uncomfortable, and had gained weight. After everything her body had been through, she was understandably cautious and unsure if she could safely return to fitness.
She’d been told by doctors as a child that she’d be in a wheelchair by 21. That prognosis had left a lasting shadow over what she believed was physically possible.
Why She Nearly Didn’t Start
Like many of our clients, Carol was sceptical.
She was concerned that exercise might damage her hip further and wasn’t sure she could trust her body again. Her confidence was low, and after years of inactivity, fitness felt completely out of reach.
